Ilan is a guitarist, composer, and educator currently living in Minneapolis, MN. Active as a performer, and composer, he has toured the country playing everything from funk and bluegrass to contemporary classical music, jazz, and rock.  As an educator, he has taught privately and in group settings at schools, summer camps, and music festivals. He is a five year member of the Mile of Music Music Education team, a unique group of music teachers breaking down the boundaries between festival performer and festival goer at Appleton, WI Mile of Music festival. He is comfortable with students of all ages and levels, encouraging students to explore their own creativity through composition and improvisation to achieve musical goals that student, teacher, and parents will set together. Ilan graduated from the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music with the Bachelors of Music degree, having double majored in guitar performance and music composition.
