Stephanie was influenced by the power of music from a very young age and it only seemed natural for her to pursue music in her education and career. She graduated from Wartburg College (Waverly, IA) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music (clarinet, piano) and Business Administration. She also received her Master of Arts degree from UMKC (University of Missouri Kansas City) with a specialty in Clarinet Performance and Arts Administration. During her studies she participated as the principal clarinetist in the Wartburg Wind Ensemble, Symphony Band, Symphony Orchestra and as well as a member of the Conservatory at UMKC, performing in the Wind Symphony and Ensemble. In addition to ensemble participation, she also began accompanying and teaching piano/clarinet lessons during her college studies. She has since been teaching private piano/clarinet as well as group lessons for over 20 years. Stephanie is very passionate about sharing the joy and love of music with students of all ages. Her teaching philosophy is to foster a nurturing learning environment where the students feel inspired and motivated to reach their highest potential.
