I started playing piano at three years old after my sister would come home from her piano lessons and teach me everything she learned. I stated private lessons shortly after that and continued on through high school. Even as a young pianist I played for church and Sunday  School and enjoyed accompanying many instrumentalist and vocalists. This gave me a good foundation for sight-reading and playing many different styles of music. I graduated with a degree in Piano Performance from LSU. Since then I have taught piano on and off for more than 20 years. I’ve performed with my own jazz group in Rochester and surrounding areas. In addition, I have been active in many theater productions at the Mantorville Melodrama Theatre. I am a member of Minnesota Music Teacher Association (MMTA) and also a member of the Rochester Area Keyboard Club.
