Logan

Logan Haller hails from Forest Lake and teaches private music lessons

throughout the Twin Cities area, with a strong presence in Maple

Grove, Plymouth, Champlin, Edina, Minnetonka and Brooklyn Park. He

began playing piano at the age of nine and expanded into percussion in

middle school, where his passion for composition quickly took shape.

By eighth grade, Logan had released his first orchestral score,

followed by a second during his senior year of high school.

He went on to study Composition and Music Business at McNally Smith

College of Music, where he produced film scores and developed his work

in music for media. He has since released a full-length album under LH

Scoring titled Music for Media, along with several singles spanning

orchestral suites, symphonic rock, and techno.

Logan has over 16 years of playing experience and has been formally

trained in piano and drums for approximately 14 years. In addition to

his formal training, he also plays, bass guitar, cello,

violin, viola, and voice, drawing on both independent study and

professional coaching through recording sessions.

As an instructor, Logan teaches a wide range of styles and

instruments, placing strong emphasis on music theory, pattern

recognition, and musical structure. He believes that learning to read

in any key, recognize chord progressions, and identify recurring

motifs provides students with the tools to confidently and fluently

play virtually any song. At the same time, he tailors each lesson to

the individual student’s goals, preferred styles, and learning pace.

Above all, Logan believes that making music should be both rewarding

and fun.

Outside of teaching, Logan is an active composer who is almost always

developing new material. Writing music serves as both a creative

outlet and a continual source of inspiration in his life.
